Join MP Blake Desjarlais and Norwood Dental for an open house on the NEW Canadian Dental Care Plan.
This is an important step toward the universal health coverage that Canadians need. It will make life more affordable for families and keep everyone healthier.
The Canadian Dental Care Plan is starting with seniors, people with disabilities and children under 18.
Since December, over a million seniors have already been approved for the Canadian Dental Care Program and 9 million Canadians will be eligible by 2025.
The open house will feature:
- Up-to-date information about the CDCP
- Information on resources to access dental care in Edmonton
- Oral health education and presentations for parents, children, and adults with Dr. William Chin, at 10am, 11am, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm
- Fun dental swag and oral health freebies
- A variety of local organizations that support our communities
- Childminding 12:00pm to 4:00pm
- Staff available to assist eligible applicants who wish to apply by phone (you must have your application code, Social Insurance Number and be aged 70+)
- Translators for Arabic, Oromo, Somali and Amharic speakers
- Coffee and tea for attendees
